Florida was calling my name!
Hello Everyone,
First of, it’s been about a week since I last blogged…..wow! Things have been busy as I recently took on another position as a Pediatric Consultant. This means that I go into family’s homes and provided nutrition education to children 0-3 years of age. Mostly seeing those with developmental delays. This week was my first week doing that and have really been enjoying it. I am still working at a Pediatric Hospital in addition to the Eating Disorder Center, both of which I enjoy as well.
On another note, I took a short but well needed vacation to West Palm Beach where I visited my cousin Samantha. Samantha works for a firm in Florida utilizing her social media and marketing skills. She gave me some good tips on how to improve my blog. I already took her advice but sifting by paragraphs to the left. She made a point that it is easier for readers to read on their phones instead of centering my words in the middle. I have to agree with her on this one as I read lots of blogs on my phone and hate when I have to keep scrolling across the screen on my phone.
So viola! Paragraphs, words, and pictures will be more phone friendly after today.
Anyway, here are some of the many photos I took while visiting my cousin Samantha!
Eating at one of my favorite restaurants in Juno Florida. Captain Charlie’s Reef Grill!
Ahi Tuna with a balsamic blueberry glaze….mmmmmmmmmmm
View from Juno Beach-Fell asleep here for an hour and woke up pretty burnt and crispy
View from her awesome apartment!
Out to celebrating her friend’s birthday!
One of my cousin’s friends that we went on the boat with on Sunday……doesn’t he look like Zach Galifianakis from the Hangover. He acted just like him too…..he was hilarious!
Samantha is certified to go Lobster diving. These are a few of the lobster’s she caught. You better believe these were awesome!
We served the lobster with all our leftovers from the weekend: Cuban food (mojo sauce is amazing by the way), risotto, spicy hummus, wings, and much more. We had tried so much good food over the weekend…it was amazing
We also ended the weekend by hanging out with a highschool friend named Josh who now plays for the New York Mets. It was super fun. We meet some of his teammates. So wish I got a picture of this. Mr. Healthy Junky was floored when I told him the names of the players we hung out with. He was like you did not take any pictures. Kinda bummed now that I think about it…..oh well….next time right?
Have you been on a trip this summer? What did you enjoy about it?
PS: Any RD’s planning on going to FNCE this year? It is in Boston and I am definitely thinking about flying out there for it. Early registration ends today!

What a FUN trip to Florida! You girls both look so pretty….and tan! I need a relative in Florida (or anywhere warm for that matter). And how cool that you got to hang out with baseball players!!! SOOOO jealous – even if they aren’t Cardinals.
Vegas and Hilton Head were my 2 big trips this summer….both were a lot of fun, and it was just great to get away. There is something about warm weather vacations!!

I wish – I’m ready for Erica and Andy to join me in WPB!
I Had a great time with you, Erica. I look forward to our next adventure…however, I’m not sure I’ll be able to top this past weekend. It was a bit over-the-top. I promise, it’s rare for me to have weekends like that.
